Ticking Clock

I feel the clock ticking--it is a new year--and I want to slow things down a bit--and realize what is important---I want to 'SEE'--I want to be in the now--the moment.

In Jesus Calling, "I dwell in TIMELESSNESS:   I am, I was, I will always be.  For you, time is a protection; your're a frail creature who can handle only twenty-four-hour segments of life.  Time can also be a tyrant, ticking away relentlessly in your mind.  Learn to master time, or it will be your master."

I would like to hear your thoughts about the subject of time---getting up in the morning--opening the blinds--sun streaming in--coffee--   'tick-tock' ---looking at the moon ---closing the blinds---  What is important?  Your thoughts-- ?

"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."  Numbers 6:24-26

  1. I have tried to comment here three different times and erase then every time......my desire is the same as yours.....stay in the moment....simplify.....I struggle but I do believe that the more of my will I submit to the Father the less I will struggle with these issues. My issue I want control of my time and God wants me to let Him direct it...
    Sounds simple but very hard...

  2. We never know when the present moment is all we have. I do find it hard not to be looking forward to spring though.

  3. Time - an earthly trust which, if invested wisely, will produce eternal treasures.

  4. Hi Nava
Happy to visit from Spiritual Sundays and find words for what my heart was pondering a lot the last few weeks! Time!! I came to the conclusion that, just like everything else, time is also a creation from our Pappa God! He is not and will never be bound by time!
    Much love

  5. Great to hear from you, Nava... I'm staying pretty busy also... Never seem to have enough hours in the day to get things done which I enjoy doing. Tick-Tick-Tick.... That ole clock does just keep on ticking.

Hope you are having a good weekend. We had an ice storm here yesterday---and since it was minor and didn't cause any damage, it was great for some good photography.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  6. I often hear people debating about the "times" and the "future" and I am reminded that Jesus is the beginning and the end. My life is hidden in Him. Thank you for your post today!

  7. Beautiful photography. You had me at the first phrase--I feel the clock ticking. Wherever did January go? 1/12th of the year gone and I'm not sure I've accomplished all I was hoping.

  8. Time is a gift from God and we are to use it well, not abuse it. Not to waste it, nor to waste ourselves by trying to do more than we can and should. He also gave us rest - nights and the Sabbath. One day this world and time will end, then we will enjoy eternity in His presence!

I found your blog through Spiritual Sundays.
