Full of Sunshine

I love looking for the hidden treasures within a flower.  I found sunshine in our new spring Daffodils this morning.  They offer a lot--and they do not visit for very long--they are tougher then they look--and seem to survive all kinds of  conditions.   We see them on old homestead places after the home is long gone.  I think of the little lady in her bonnet and apron that might have been planting the bulbs--years ago.  They are still coming up to say 'hello'!

This scripture comes to mind because of the 'light' and 'balance':

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path."   Psalm 19:105

I have enjoyed the comments on my post about 'Balance'--so what comes to mind is that just as I was out enjoying the Daffodils, I also need to search the hidden treasures that God has for me---and then hopefully I would be like the Daffodils--tough and ready for the day---and oh yes----full of sunshine!

Let me hear your thoughts--- :)

  2. I can't see a daffodil without thinking of my mother. They were her favorite and my father always brought her a bunch when they first appeared in the grocery store in the spring. They speak of love to me.

  3. Dear Nava
When we look at nature we see balance and beauty everywhere, but the sunshine in this flower is very special! So innocently, modestly opening herself up to show us the sunshine that was buried in her leaves! As if to say,"Look at me". Over via Charlotte's.
    Much love

  4. What a glorious drop of sunshine in that bloom! My daffodils are up about 3 inches but it's too cold yet for them to grow more. Soon the sun will warm the air, melt the snow, and cause life to start again. Blessings, Pamela

  5. Beautiful daffodil--a breath of spring to me. We had ice and sleet today, but in a few weeks . . .
    Have a blessed weekend.

  8. So true. Searching the Hidden Treasures will strengthen us. How beautiful. My daughter has begged me all week to stop by and pick some. I had hurt my foot and I can't walk so my husband took her yesterday to the country to pick them. I sat in the car watching bounce and giggle with delight as she grabbed handfuls. This post refreshes me. Thanks.

  9. I think the treasure is Christ within us and He gives us light on our path and strength to endure whatever comes and for how ever long.....As we look for these treasures in His creation (like the daffodil) , He gives us wisdom for our walk....

You certainly gave us a beautiful shot of His creation to ponder what He is saying to each of us...That treasure inside.....

  10. Hi Nava, Yes --Daffodils are full of sunshine, light and love... We need to be just like them --as they blow in the breeze....

I learned so much about smaller things in nature once I got interested in macro shots. AMAZING what we can see....

Balance in life... We all need it. We need to stand up straight and tall just like the Daffodils.
    Hugs,
    Betsy
